The Foundation and the school become separate entities

In accordance with new administrative regulations enforced in 1929, educational institutions were required to have a separate Board of their own, in order to receive government funding. Consequently, the Wetterhoff school was appointed its own School Board and the finances for the Foundation and the school were separated. The school building and its contents were the property of the Foundation, while responsibility for provision of education and training remained with the school. The Foundation continued to run and manage the school, however. The sets of accounts for the educational activities and business activities, including the shop, dye house and professional weaving mill, were separated in the 1950's. In 1976, the State began to run the school.
